In the genus Didissandra C. B. Clarke, in the emended sense of WEBER & BURTT (1998a), eight species are recognized, two of the new, one (D. elongata) with four subspecies. The genus comprises two sections: (1) sect. Cyrtandroides (two species; one in the Malay Peninsula, one in Borneo), and (2) sect. Didissandra (6 closely interrelated species; Sumatra, Borneo, Java). D. johorica is referred to Henckelia, D. humilis to Staurogyne (Acanthaceae). Keys and general information on the taxa are provided.
