Abstract
In this short paper we outline the use of SADIE (Spatial Analysis by Distance Indices), a technique to spatially quantify patterns in spatially-referenced count-based data. We also provide free access to the SADIE software suite with Rethinking Ecology as its permanent home. Finally, we review the use of SADIE in ecology and demonstrate its use in a wide variety of sub-disciplines.
